Product Overview

Childcare centres and clinic fitouts that live on steady warm-water supply get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 5-16 set. Specify part number 99614361 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.

The system supports flow rates up to 462 L/min. It can develop up to 155 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 18.6 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 16 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Typical duty sits with industrial process supply, hospitals and schools and universities. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • At P2 each main pump is 3 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • The system pairs three CRE 5-16 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
