Product Overview

Across installations such as showers, coffee machines and dishwashers competing for one limited mains feed, the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 5-4 maintains stable pressure at every draw-off point. Quote part number 99614330 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.

It handles flows up to 455 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 38 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 1 x 200-240 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 13.5 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Typical duty sits with hotel plant rooms, schools and universities and aged-care complexes. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • The system pairs three CRE 5-4 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • At P2 each main pump is 0.75 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
