Product Overview

The Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 5-8 is a proven fit for day spas and compact medical centres running half a dozen outlets at once, with three Grundfos CRE 5-8 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99614304.

It handles flows up to 460 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 78 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 9.3 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Applications include aged-care complexes, hotel plant rooms and schools and universities. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Three Grundfos CRE 5-8 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • At P2 each main pump is 1.5 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
