Product Overview

Industrial wash-down lines and fire-ring make-up feeds running flat out rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE64-1-1 is engineered for exactly that duty. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 93320261.

Flow capacity reaches 4804 L/min. Up to 31 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 200 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 40.9 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Its home ground covers industrial process supply, aged-care complexes and schools and universities. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 200 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 64-1 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Rated 5.5 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
