Product Overview

For high-traffic commercial complexes that cannot trade on an 8 am pressure sag, a factory-assembled Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE64-3 package provides a well-matched solution, with three CRE 64-3 pumps staged against the demand curve. Quote part number 93328668 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.

The system supports flow rates up to 4818 L/min. It can develop up to 130 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 200 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 132 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Applications include industrial process supply, aged-care complexes and mixed-use commercial buildings. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Three Grundfos CRE 64-3 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 200 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • At P2 each main pump is 26 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
