Product Overview
The Grundfos JP 3-42 is a self-priming jet pump designed for domestic water supply, garden irrigation, and water transfer applications. With excellent suction capability, it is ideal for drawing water from wells, ground tanks, and below-ground sources where the pump is installed above the water level.
The pump features a stainless steel housing (AISI 304) combined with a composite impeller (PPO-20GF), providing strong corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The integrated ejector with guide vanes ensures reliable self-priming performance and stable operation even when handling air-liquid mixtures during priming.
According to the performance data, the pump operates at a rated flow of 3 m³/h with a corresponding head of 36.5 metres. The unit achieves a maximum head of 39 metres at shut-off conditions. Based on the performance curve, the pump delivers practical domestic flow across standard pressure ranges and supports a suction lift of up to 8 metres.
The unit is powered by a 0.447 kW electric motor operating on a 1 x 240 V, 50 Hz supply, with a rated current of 3.1 Amps. It features built-in thermal protection to prevent overheating and is equipped with sealed, grease-for-life ball bearings for quiet and maintenance-free operation.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
