The Grundfos JP 4-47 PT-V is an automatic pressure jet pump system designed for garden irrigation, household water supply, and light water transfer applications. The system combines a Grundfos JP self-priming pump with a pressure switch, pressure gauge, and a vertical diaphragm pressure tank, ensuring consistent and automatic water pressure control.
The integrated pressure tank reduces water hammer in the pipeline and minimizes pump cycling by supplying stored water during low demand conditions. This improves system efficiency and extends pump life. The pressure switch and tank work together to ensure optimal start and stop operation based on water usage.
The pump is constructed with a stainless steel housing (AISI 304) and a composite impeller (PPO-20GF), providing corrosion resistance and long service life. The self-priming design enables the pump to lift water from below-ground sources and handle air-liquid mixtures during start-up for reliable operation.
According to the technical data, the pump operates at a rated flow of 4 m³/h with a corresponding head of 41 metres. Based on the performance curve, the unit achieves a maximum head of approximately 47 metres at shut-off conditions and supports a suction lift of up to 8 metres.
The unit is powered by a 0.56 kW electric motor operating on a 1 x 240 V, 50 Hz supply, with a rated current of 3.8 Amps. The pressure switch is preset with a cut-in pressure of 2.2 bar, enabling reliable automatic operation based on system demand.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
