Product Overview
Plant utility heating headers and distribution risers rely on the Grundfos NB 125-250/262 end-suction pump. Driven by an electric 22 kW motor assembly, the pump incorporates an axial DN 150 suction port and a radial DN 125 discharge connection.
Hydraulic movement output provides approx. 6438 L/Min maximum flow and reaches an upper head ceiling of approx. 23.3 m. The pump housing is cast in EN-GJL-250 iron with cataphoretic electrocoating. Fluid displacement is driven by a stainless steel impeller and a BQQE mechanical shaft seal. Net product weight measures 335 kg.
Operating on three-phase 415 V supply, the motor draws 42.2 Amps to generate 22 kW shaft power. Operational limits permit media temperatures from -25°C to 120°C under working pressures up to 16 bar. Flanged pipe connections measure DN 150 on the inlet and DN 125 on the outlet.
Drive frame detailing complies with IP55 ingress standards and Class F temperature insulation. Standard IEC electric drive design requires external motor overload protection. The back-pull-out structural layout permits complete motor and rotating assembly extraction without disconnecting piping headers.
Features
- Precision balanced rotating components reduce hydraulic noise and mechanical shaft deflection.
- Renewable casing wear rings retain pump efficiency and avoid direct volute casing wear.
- Solid shaft assembly with sealed ball bearings absorbs operational hydraulic and radial forces.
- EN1092-2 flanged connections conform to standard PN16 pipework dimensions.
- Continuous duty S1 rated electric drive motor operates in ambient temperatures up to 40°C.
- Back-pull-out layout permits motor and impeller servicing without breaking pipe connections.
- Integral casing support feet provide direct anchoring to plant room inertia bases and plinths.

What alloys form the wetted components and mechanical shaft seal?
Heavy-duty metallurgy on the Grundfos NB 125-250/262 combines an electrocoated EN-GJL-250 cast iron casing with a stainless steel impeller.
Which inlet suction and outlet discharge port dimensions are engineered onto this pump volute?
Pipe connections on the NB 125-250/262 consist of an axial 150 mm inlet and a radial 125 mm outlet meeting PN16 flange standards.
What peak fluid movement and discharge elevation does this unit maintain?
Operating capacity on the NB-125-250-262 reaches approx. 6438 L/Min in liquid flow and approx. 23.3 m in dynamic head across duty cycles.
Which seal type and wear rings protect against fluid leakage along the drive shaft?
Fluid containment in the NB 125 250 262 is maintained by a BQQE mechanical shaft seal, supported by replaceable wear rings that preserve hydraulic clearances.
What voltage supply and motor capacity operate this pumping assembly?
Powered by a 22 kW electric motor, the NB/125/250/262 connects to a 415 V three-phase feed and draws 42.2 Amps with an IP55 enclosure.
