Product Overview

Central energy facilities and regional heat transfer stations rely on the Grundfos NB 32-160/170 end-suction pump. The unit couples a 0.55 kW drive motor to an axial DN 50 inlet nozzle and a radial DN 32 discharge connection.

Fluid transfer output generates 242 L/Min rated flow with a maximum developed head of 7.672 m. Volute casing construction features EN-GJL-250 cast iron with cataphoretic electrocoating, paired with a stainless steel impeller and BQQE shaft seal. Product net weight equals 38 kg.

The electric drive operates from a 415 V three-phase supply, drawing 1.23 Amps nominal running current to produce 0.55 kW. Operating limits support liquid temperatures from -25°C to 120°C and maximum system pressures of 16 bar. Flanged pipework attaches via DN 50 inlet and DN 32 outlet ports.

Drive protection includes an IP55 ingress rating combined with Class F motor insulation. Standard motor installation requires external electrical overload protection. The back-pull-out design allows complete drive and rotating assembly extraction while leaving the casing secured to distribution pipework.

Features

  • Solid stub shaft and ball bearing arrangement counteracts operating mechanical stresses.
  • Standardized PN16 dimensions per EN1092-2 align with facility pipe headers.
  • IEC standardized electric drive rated for continuous S1 operation in ambients up to 40°C.
  • Back-pull-out arrangement allows fast access to motor and impeller without disturbing pipework.
  • Precision balancing of rotating parts delivers quiet, low-vibration fluid transfer.
  • Heavy-section cast iron volute with integral mounting pads provides solid base support.
  • Replaceable wear rings protect casing hydraulics and retain designed pumping clearances.

Can this pump circulate high-temperature water without exceeding pressure limits?

Thermal limits for the Grundfos NB 32-160/170 safely accommodate fluid temperatures from -25°C to 120°C and maximum system pressures up to 16 bar.

What suction and discharge flange dimensions are featured on this centrifugal unit?

Standard PN16 flanged connections on the NB 32-160/170 include an axial 50 mm suction intake and a radial 32 mm discharge port.

What maximum liquid volume and pressure rating can this pump generate?

Delivering up to 242 L/Min in volumetric flow and 7.672 m in dynamic head, the NB-32-160-170 adapts across its curve.

Can the motor and rotating components be serviced without breaking pipe joints?

Extracting the rotating assembly on the NB 32 160 170 requires no pipe disconnection, thanks to its back-pull-out maintenance architecture.

What shaft sealing mechanism and wear protection protect against fluid leakage along the drive shaft?

Dynamic sealing on the NB/32/160/170 incorporates a BQQE mechanical shaft seal and replaceable wear rings that retain internal clearances.
