Product Overview
Closed-loop circulation duties across heating and chilled water risers use the Grundfos NB 40-125/130 end-suction pump. The unit couples a 0.37 kW drive motor to an axial DN 65 inlet nozzle and a radial DN 40 discharge connection.
Flow delivery reaches 363 L/Min under rated duty conditions with a maximum developed head of 3.899 m. Volute casing construction features EN-GJL-250 cast iron with cataphoretic electrocoating, paired with a stainless steel impeller and BQQE shaft seal. Product net weight equals 32 kg.
Connected to a 415 V three-phase power feed, the drive draws 0.99 Amps while delivering 0.37 kW motor power. Operating limits support liquid temperatures from -25°C to 120°C and maximum system pressures of 16 bar. Flanged pipework attaches via DN 65 inlet and DN 40 outlet ports.
Motor ingress protection satisfies IP55 standards with Class F temperature insulation. Standard motor installation requires external electrical overload protection. The back-pull-out design allows complete drive and rotating assembly extraction while leaving the casing secured to distribution pipework.
Features
- Cast iron volute casing with integral mounting feet absorbs hydraulic forces and pipework stresses.
- Replaceable wear rings retain correct internal hydraulic clearances over long operating periods.
- Solid stub shaft configuration supported by deep groove ball bearings absorbs axial thrust loads.
- Standardized EN1092-2 PN16 flange dimensions match standard commercial and district pipe manifolds.
- High-efficiency IEC electric drive motor rated for S1 continuous operation in ambient conditions up to 40°C.
- Back-pull-out construction allows drive and impeller removal without disconnecting suction or discharge lines.
- Precision balanced rotor and runner assemblies minimize operating vibration across all pump speeds.

How is the pump body constructed to withstand long operational wear?
Cast iron construction on the Grundfos NB 40-125/130 utilizes an electrocoated EN-GJL-250 casing and a precision stainless steel impeller.
Can service technicians extract the impeller without disconnecting the volute from pipework?
Routine plant servicing is simplified on the NB 40-125/130 by its back-pull-out layout, allowing drive extraction without dismantling pipework.
How much fluid volume and pressure elevation can this unit displace?
The NB-40-125-130 provides up to 363 L/Min in fluid flow and 3.899 m in dynamic head, depending on system pressure demands.
What electrical feed and full-load current are needed for this motor?
Driven across a 415 V three-phase supply, the NB 40 125 130 features a 0.37 kW motor drawing 0.99 Amps with an IP55 enclosure.
What shaft sealing mechanism and wear protection protect this pump casing against mechanical fluid loss?
Fluid containment in the NB/40/125/130 is maintained by a BQQE mechanical shaft seal, supported by replaceable wear rings that preserve hydraulic clearances.
