Product Overview
Secondary chilled water circuits and plant distribution skids deploy the Grundfos NB 40-160/134 centrifugal pump. Driven by an electric 0.37 kW motor assembly, the pump incorporates an axial DN 65 suction port and a radial DN 40 discharge connection.
Operational fluid output delivers 245 L/Min rated capacity across a maximum head span of 4.697 m. The pump housing is cast in EN-GJL-250 iron with cataphoretic electrocoating. Fluid displacement is driven by a stainless steel impeller and a BQQE mechanical shaft seal. Net product weight measures 33 kg.
Motor operation on a 415 V three-phase feed requires 0.99 Amps rated current for 0.37 kW shaft output. Operational limits permit media temperatures from -25°C to 120°C under working pressures up to 16 bar. Flanged pipe connections measure DN 65 on the inlet and DN 40 on the outlet.
The drive assembly provides an IP55 enclosure rating and Class F thermal insulation. Standard IEC electric drive design requires external motor overload protection. The back-pull-out structural layout permits complete motor and rotating assembly extraction without disconnecting piping headers.
Features
- Solid stub shaft supported by sealed ball bearings carries axial and radial loads.
- Standard PN16 flanged port interfaces align with EN1092-2 heating and cooling headers.
- Totally enclosed fan cooled IEC motor rated for S1 duty cycles in ambient environments up to 40°C.
- Service-friendly back-pull-out layout enables rotating element servicing without removing pipework.
- Balanced impeller geometry and shaft construction reduce operational vibration throughout duty range.
- Volute casing design incorporates integral base feet for direct mounting to concrete plinths.
- Internal wear rings retain hydraulic clearance tolerances throughout long service cycles.
