Product Overview
Closed chilled fluid loops across building basements deploy the Grundfos NB 40-315/334 end-suction pump. Coupled to a 5.5 kW motor drive, fluid enters through an axial DN 65 suction port and exits through a radial DN 40 discharge flange.
Hydraulic throughput reaches 418 L/Min rated fluid movement across a maximum head of 30.73 m. Constructed with an EN-GJL-250 cast iron volute protected by cataphoretic electrocoating, internal hydraulics feature a stainless steel impeller and BQQE mechanical shaft seal. Net weight is 163 kg.
The unit runs on a 415 V three-phase connection drawing 10.6 Amps running current for 5.5 kW output. Working tolerances accommodate fluid temperatures spanning -25°C to 120°C at pressures reaching 16 bar. Flanged connections feature DN 65 inlet and DN 40 outlet dimensions.
The motor housing conforms to IP55 protection requirements with Class F electrical insulation. Because built-in thermal protection is not included, external motor overload protection must be supplied. Maintenance is streamlined via a back-pull-out arrangement allowing rotating element removal while the casing remains connected to piping.
Features
- Integral casing support feet provide direct anchoring to plant room inertia bases and plinths.
- Precision balanced rotating components reduce hydraulic noise and mechanical shaft deflection.
- Renewable casing wear rings retain pump efficiency and avoid direct volute casing wear.
- Solid shaft assembly with sealed ball bearings absorbs operational hydraulic and radial forces.
- EN1092-2 flanged connections conform to standard PN16 pipework dimensions.
- Continuous duty S1 rated electric drive motor operates in ambient temperatures up to 40°C.
- Back-pull-out layout permits motor and impeller servicing without breaking pipe connections.
