Product Overview
Central cooling headers and evaporative condenser skids feature the Grundfos NB 50-160/131 end-suction pump. Driven by an electric 0.55 kW motor assembly, the pump incorporates an axial DN 65 suction port and a radial DN 50 discharge connection.
Operational pumping volume achieves 519 L/Min rated delivery against a 4.603 m maximum head. The pump housing is cast in EN-GJL-250 iron with cataphoretic electrocoating. Fluid displacement is driven by a stainless steel impeller and a BQQE mechanical shaft seal. Net product weight measures 41 kg.
Configured for a 415 V three-phase supply, the motor consumes 1.23 Amps rated current for 0.55 kW shaft power. Operational limits permit media temperatures from -25°C to 120°C under working pressures up to 16 bar. Flanged pipe connections measure DN 65 on the inlet and DN 50 on the outlet.
Enclosure engineering satisfies IP55 protection standards alongside Class F insulation. Standard IEC electric drive design requires external motor overload protection. The back-pull-out structural layout permits complete motor and rotating assembly extraction without disconnecting piping headers.
Features
- EN1092-2 flanged connections conform to standard PN16 pipework dimensions.
- Continuous duty S1 rated electric drive motor operates in ambient temperatures up to 40°C.
- Back-pull-out layout permits motor and impeller servicing without breaking pipe connections.
- Integral casing support feet provide direct anchoring to plant room inertia bases and plinths.
- Precision balanced rotating components reduce hydraulic noise and mechanical shaft deflection.
- Renewable casing wear rings retain pump efficiency and avoid direct volute casing wear.
- Solid shaft assembly with sealed ball bearings absorbs operational hydraulic and radial forces.

Can technicians inspect the impeller and shaft seal without disconnecting line pipework?
Back-pull-out layout on the Grundfos NB 50-160/131 allows rapid motor and rotating element extraction without unbolting system piping headers.
What fluid capacity and elevation head are provided by this pump?
The NB 50-160/131 provides up to 519 L/Min in fluid flow and 4.603 m in dynamic head, depending on system pressure demands.
How much motor capacity and line amperage drive this pumping unit?
Driven across a 415 V three-phase supply, the NB-50-160-131 features a 0.55 kW motor drawing 1.23 Amps with an IP55 enclosure.
Can this pump operate across extreme fluid temperatures and high line pressures?
Operating boundaries for the NB 50 160 131 safely accommodate fluid temperatures from -25°C to 120°C and maximum system pressures up to 16 bar.
Which mechanical shaft seal and internal components protect this pump casing against mechanical fluid loss?
The NB/50/160/131 utilizes a robust BQQE mechanical shaft seal and replaceable wear rings to prevent fluid loss and preserve internal clearances.
