Product Overview
Mechanical utility headers and boiler circulation skids rely on the Grundfos NB 80-160/146 end-suction pump. Driven by an electric 1.5 kW motor assembly, the pump incorporates an axial DN 100 suction port and a radial DN 80 discharge connection.
Discharge volume performance reaches approx. 1785 L/Min maximum displacement and develops approx. 6.5 m maximum head. The pump housing is cast in EN-GJL-250 iron with cataphoretic electrocoating. Fluid displacement is driven by a stainless steel impeller and a BQQE mechanical shaft seal. Net product weight measures 64 kg.
Running from a 415 V three-phase circuit, the 1.5 kW motor draws 3.15 Amps running current. Operational limits permit media temperatures from -25°C to 120°C under working pressures up to 16 bar. Flanged pipe connections measure DN 100 on the inlet and DN 80 on the outlet.
Motor housing engineering satisfies IP55 standards alongside Class F electrical insulation. Standard IEC electric drive design requires external motor overload protection. The back-pull-out structural layout permits complete motor and rotating assembly extraction without disconnecting piping headers.
Features
- Back-pull-out arrangement allows fast access to motor and impeller without disturbing pipework.
- Precision balancing of rotating parts delivers quiet, low-vibration fluid transfer.
- Heavy-section cast iron volute with integral mounting pads provides solid base support.
- Replaceable wear rings protect casing hydraulics and retain designed pumping clearances.
- Solid stub shaft and ball bearing arrangement counteracts operating mechanical stresses.
- Standardized PN16 dimensions per EN1092-2 align with facility pipe headers.
- IEC standardized electric drive rated for continuous S1 operation in ambients up to 40°C.

How does this pump maintain fluid containment prevent internal liquid leakage on this pump?
Shaft protection on the Grundfos NB 80-160/146 combines a BQQE mechanical shaft seal with replaceable wear rings to maintain internal hydraulic clearances.
What voltage connection and full-load amperage power this motor drive?
The NB 80-160/146 is driven by a 1.5 kW motor running on a 415 V three-phase supply, drawing approximately 3.15 Amps with IP55 protection.
What peak water flow and pumping height does this unit produce?
Delivering approx. 1785 L/Min in volumetric flow and approx. 6.5 m in dynamic head, the NB-80-160-146 adapts across its curve.
Can the rotating hydraulic assembly be serviced without removing pipe connections?
Extracting the rotating assembly on the NB 80 160 146 requires no pipe disconnection, thanks to its back-pull-out maintenance architecture.
Which suction intake and discharge port dimensions are used on this pumping assembly?
Pipeline interfaces on the NB/80/160/146 feature an axial 100 mm suction port and a radial 80 mm discharge flange conforming to PN16 ratings.
