Product Overview
Central heating plant headers and hydronic risers feature the Grundfos NB 80-160/161 centrifugal pump. Coupled to a 2.2 kW motor drive, fluid enters through an axial DN 100 suction port and exits through a radial DN 80 discharge flange.
Liquid pumping rating achieves approx. 1904 L/Min fluid circulation across a maximum head of approx. 8.1 m. Constructed with an EN-GJL-250 cast iron volute protected by cataphoretic electrocoating, internal hydraulics feature a stainless steel impeller and BQQE mechanical shaft seal. Net weight is 75 kg.
Current draw reaches 4.5 Amps from a 415 V three-phase connection to deliver 2.2 kW shaft power. Working tolerances accommodate fluid temperatures spanning -25°C to 120°C at pressures reaching 16 bar. Flanged connections feature DN 100 inlet and DN 80 outlet dimensions.
Environmental enclosure design features IP55 sealing protection and Class F insulation. Because built-in thermal protection is not included, external motor overload protection must be supplied. Maintenance is streamlined via a back-pull-out arrangement allowing rotating element removal while the casing remains connected to piping.
Features
- Precision balanced rotor and runner assemblies minimize operating vibration across all pump speeds.
- Cast iron volute casing with integral mounting feet absorbs hydraulic forces and pipework stresses.
- Replaceable wear rings retain correct internal hydraulic clearances over long operating periods.
- Solid stub shaft configuration supported by deep groove ball bearings absorbs axial thrust loads.
- Standardized EN1092-2 PN16 flange dimensions match standard commercial and district pipe manifolds.
- High-efficiency IEC electric drive motor rated for S1 continuous operation in ambient conditions up to 40°C.
- Back-pull-out construction allows drive and impeller removal without disconnecting suction or discharge lines.
