Product Overview
Basement mechanical rooms and closed hydronic circuits integrate the Grundfos NB 80-160/177 centrifugal pump. The unit couples a 4 kW drive motor to an axial DN 100 inlet nozzle and a radial DN 80 discharge connection.
Volumetric fluid delivery generates approx. 2170 L/Min maximum flow alongside a approx. 10.3 m developed head limit. Volute casing construction features EN-GJL-250 cast iron with cataphoretic electrocoating, paired with a stainless steel impeller and BQQE shaft seal. Product net weight equals 88 kg.
Nominal current draw reaches 8.47 Amps across a 415 V three-phase supply to deliver 4 kW mechanical drive. Operating limits support liquid temperatures from -25°C to 120°C and maximum system pressures of 16 bar. Flanged pipework attaches via DN 100 inlet and DN 80 outlet ports.
Physical drive housing satisfies IP55 protection standards with Class F temperature insulation. Standard motor installation requires external electrical overload protection. The back-pull-out design allows complete drive and rotating assembly extraction while leaving the casing secured to distribution pipework.
Features
- Internal wear rings retain hydraulic clearance tolerances throughout long service cycles.
- Solid stub shaft supported by sealed ball bearings carries axial and radial loads.
- Standard PN16 flanged port interfaces align with EN1092-2 heating and cooling headers.
- Totally enclosed fan cooled IEC motor rated for S1 duty cycles in ambient environments up to 40°C.
- Service-friendly back-pull-out layout enables rotating element servicing without removing pipework.
- Balanced impeller geometry and shaft construction reduce operational vibration throughout duty range.
- Volute casing design incorporates integral base feet for direct mounting to concrete plinths.

What power supply rating and motor capacity are needed for this pump?
Standard electrical feed of 415 V three-phase powers the Grundfos NB 80-160/177, driving a 4 kW motor at 8.47 Amps with IP55 protection.
What design layout allows fast impeller servicing in mechanical plant rooms?
Plant maintenance on the NB 80-160/177 leaves facility pipework connected, utilizing a back-pull-out layout for fast mechanical servicing.
How does this pump maintain fluid containment protect against fluid leakage along the drive shaft?
Fluid containment in the NB-80-160-177 is maintained by a BQQE mechanical shaft seal, supported by replaceable wear rings that preserve hydraulic clearances.
Which suction intake and discharge port dimensions are engineered onto this pump volute?
The NB 80 160 177 features an axial 100 mm suction port and a radial 80 mm discharge port with standard PN16 flanged connections.
How much water displacement and pressure height does this pump sustain?
The NB/80/160/177 provides approx. 2170 L/Min in fluid flow and approx. 10.3 m in dynamic head, depending on system pressure demands.
