Operating at 485 rpm with flow capacity of 21000 L/min and maximum head of 7.6 m, the Grundfos S3.120.300.150.12.62F.C.449.G.N.D.513GPA 12-pole submersible sewage pump handles wastewater, process water and unscreened raw sewage where very high flow rates at low heads are required. The Variant C cooling jacket supports continuous submerged operation at depths up to 20 m.

A 15 kW motor (P2) at 485 rpm from a 415 V three-phase supply draws 36 A with 84% efficiency at full load and 85% at 3/4 load. The 449 mm impeller delivers the specified performance, with DN300 outlet and DN120 inlet connections carrying a PN10 pressure rating.

Hydraulic performance is achieved through a 3-channel ductile iron impeller with 120 mm free passage, with the impeller diameter and triple-channel configuration matched to the F lifting height class requirements. The impeller geometry determines the head and flow characteristics for this Range 62 model.

IP68 enclosure and Class F insulation are provided by the cast iron housing, with primary silicon carbide and secondary silicon carbide-carbon shaft seals protecting the motor compartment. Integrated moisture sensors are fitted as standard, with 15 m S1BN8-F cable and Star/Delta starting.

    FEATURES

    • 12-Pole Motor Design: The 12-pole motor operates at 485 rpm, providing low-speed operation suitable for high-volume transfer applications where reduced hydraulic loading is beneficial.
    • 3-Channel Ductile Iron Impeller: The triple-channel impeller design provides stable hydraulic performance across the operating range while maintaining efficient solids handling capability for municipal wastewater applications.
    • 120 mm Free Passage: The internal clearance through the impeller and volute allows solids and unscreened sewage particulates to pass without blocking the hydraulic flow path during operation.
    • DN300 / DN120 Connection: The outlet connection is sized at DN300 with a PN10 pressure rating, while the inlet connection is DN120, matching the hydraulic design requirements of this configuration.
    • Variant C Cooling Jacket: The integrated cooling jacket surrounds the motor stator to dissipate heat during continuous submerged operation, maintaining stable motor temperatures in wet well installations.
    • IP68 Enclosure Protection: The motor housing is fully sealed against permanent submersion, with the IP68 rating confirming suitability for continuous operation at depths up to 20 m.
    • Silicon Carbide Shaft Seals: The primary shaft seal uses silicon carbide faces while the secondary seal employs a silicon carbide-carbon combination, providing two-stage protection against liquid ingress into the motor compartment.
    • Integrated Moisture Sensors: Sensors are fitted within the motor housing to detect the presence of moisture, providing early indication of potential seal degradation or liquid ingress during service.
