The Grundfos SL.56H.280.4.50D.100 is intended for permanent submerged installation in municipal wet wells and wastewater transfer stations. Certified under CE EN12050-1, this cast iron unit holds ROHS and WEEE approvals for use in civil utility networks. It is developed for handling untreated wastewater containing large solids in infrastructure requiring consistent discharge pressure.
This model incorporates a 28 kW 4-pole motor operating on a 3 x 415 V supply with a rated current of 60.5 Amps. It achieves a maximum head up to 43 m and a maximum flow up to 9180 L/min at a rated speed of 1490 rpm. The system is designed for continuous S1 duty in untreated wastewater at temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C.
The hydraulic system uses an Open S-tube impeller with a 363.2 mm actual diameter to handle solids in untreated wastewater. The nominal duty head is 26.85 m. Featuring a DN 200 inlet and a DN 100 outlet, this hydraulic design supports high-volume wastewater transfer while reducing the risk of clogging in high-demand municipal networks.
Built with an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing, the unit features double mechanical shaft seals and integrated PTO sensors for motor protection and monitoring. It is supplied with a 10-metre S1BC4N8-F EMC power cable and an IP68 enclosure suitable for installation depths up to 30 metres. The pump is compatible with the Grundfos auto-coupling system (96090994).
