The Grundfos SL.56H.280.4.50D.150 is designed for permanent submerged installation in treatment plants and industrial sumps requiring reliable discharge performance. This cast iron unit holds CE EN12050-1 certification along with ROHS and WEEE approvals. It is developed for handling raw effluents and untreated wastewater containing large solids.

A 28 kW 4-pole motor powers the unit at 1490 rpm on a 3 x 415 V supply with a rated current of 60.5 Amps. It achieves a maximum head up to 46 m and a maximum flow up to 9180 L/min. The system is rated for continuous S1 duty in liquids between 0°C and 40°C, with cooling provided by the surrounding media during submerged operation.

The hydraulic system uses an Open S-tube impeller with a 363.2 mm actual diameter to handle untreated wastewater containing solids. The nominal duty head is 26.85 m. The hydraulic design incorporates a DN 200 inlet and a DN 150 (6") outlet, supporting high-volume wastewater transfer while reducing the risk of clogging.

Construction features an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing with double mechanical shaft seals and integrated PTO sensors for motor protection and monitoring. It is supplied with a 10-metre S1BC4N8-F EMC power cable and an IP68 enclosure suitable for installation depths up to 30 metres. The unit is compatible with the Grundfos auto-coupling system (97695489).
