Engineered for high-volume transfer in civil infrastructure, the Grundfos SL.56L.280.6.50D.300 is intended for permanent submerged installation in groundwater drainage and flood control systems. Holding CE EN12050-1 approval, this cast iron model is built for use in wet wells and basins handling untreated wastewater containing solids.
The pump is powered by a 28 kW 6-pole motor operating at 990 rpm on a 3 x 415 V supply with a rated current of 59.5 Amps. It achieves a maximum head up to 20 m and a maximum flow up to 25380 L/min. The motor is rated for continuous S1 submerged duty in untreated wastewater at temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C.
The hydraulic system uses an Open S-tube impeller with a 411.2 mm actual diameter to manage untreated wastewater. The nominal duty head is 10.46 m. The hydraulic design features dual DN 300 connections with DIN flange standards, supporting high-volume wastewater transfer while reducing the risk of clogging in municipal networks.
Construction features an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing with double mechanical shaft seals. Protection is provided by integrated PTO sensors for motor protection and monitoring. The unit is supplied with a 10-metre S1BC4N8-F EMC power cable and an IP68 enclosure suitable for installation depths up to 30 metres.
