High-volume transfer in municipal networks is the domain of the Grundfos SL1.100.100.40.4.50B.C, suitable for large-scale drainage and handling untreated wastewater. Certified under CE EN12050-1, this cast iron model is intended for permanent installation in high-demand infrastructure. It is designed for untreated wastewater containing large solids in civil collection environments.
A 4 kW 4-pole motor operating on a 3 x 415V supply with a rated current of 9.6 Amps powers the unit at 1464 rpm. It achieves a maximum flow up to 3816 L/min and maximum head up to 11.7 m. The motor is calibrated for continuous S1 duty in untreated wastewater at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C. The motor is cooled by the surrounding pumped liquid during normal submerged operation.
The S-tube impeller is designed for untreated wastewater containing solids up to 100 mm while helping reduce the risk of clogging. The hydraulic design features a DN 150 inlet and a 4" (100 mm) outlet with DIN flange standards. This configuration supports consistent fluid handling in municipal wastewater networks.
Construction consists of an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing. Shaft protection is provided by a double SIC/SIC mechanical seal system and integrated PTC sensors for motor protection. Integrated moisture sensors are used for seal and motor monitoring, along with 10 metres of LYNIFLEX power cable and an IP68 enclosure. The pump is suitable for installation depths up to 7 metres.
