Collection systems and large-scale drainage tasks are the focus of the Grundfos SL1.100.150.55.4.50B.C, certified under CE EN12050-1. This cast iron submersible pump is built for permanent installation in civil infrastructure wet wells. It is intended for handling raw wastewater containing large solids in municipal and industrial collection networks.
A 5.5 kW 4-pole motor running at 1463 rpm on a 3 x 415V supply with a rated current of 10.9 Amps powers the pump. It achieves a maximum head up to 16.6 m and maximum flow up to 4332 L/min. The motor is designed for continuous S1 duty in untreated wastewater containing solids at temperatures up to 40°C. The motor is cooled by the surrounding pumped liquid during normal submerged operation.
Handling of untreated wastewater is facilitated by an S-tube impeller providing a 100 mm free passage while helping reduce the risk of clogging. The unit is equipped with a DN 150 inlet and a 6" (150 mm) outlet with DIN flange connections. This single-vane hydraulic path supports the transfer of raw effluents in demanding collection systems.
Built with an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing, the unit includes a double SIC/SIC mechanical shaft seal system. Integrated PTC sensors and moisture sensors are used for seal and motor monitoring. Protection also includes thermal switches in the windings, 10 metres of LYNIFLEX power cable, and an IP68 enclosure rating for submerged service. The pump is suitable for installation depths up to 7 metres.
