    Pairs well with

Certified for hazardous areas, the Grundfos SL1.50.65.22.A.EX.2.50B.C is a submersible wastewater pump for municipal collection systems. This explosion-proof model holds CE EN12050-2 and IECEX certifications for use in hazardous environments. It is intended for permanent submerged installation in wet wells using an auto-coupling system or for wastewater transfer in municipal networks.

A 2.2 kW 2-pole motor powers the unit at 2900 rpm on a 3 x 415V supply with a rated current of 4.7 Amps. It achieves a maximum head up to 17.7 m and a maximum flow up to 1248 L/min. The motor is designed for continuous S1 duty in untreated wastewater at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C. The motor is cooled by the surrounding pumped liquid during normal submerged operation.

The hydraulic design utilises an S-tube impeller providing a 50 mm free passage for untreated wastewater containing solids while helping reduce the risk of clogging. The unit is equipped with a DN 65 inlet and a DN 65 (2.5") outlet connection with DIN flange standards. This configuration supports consistent fluid discharge in civil wastewater systems.

Built with an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing, the unit includes a double SIC/SIC mechanical shaft seal arrangement. Integrated moisture and water-in-oil sensors are used for seal and motor monitoring. Protection includes winding-embedded thermal switches, 10 metres of LYNIFLEX power cable, and an IP68 enclosure rating. The pump is suitable for installation depths up to 7 metres.
