Treatment plants and utility basins benefit from the Grundfos SL1.80.80.22.4.50B.C, a cast iron submersible pump with CE EN12050-1 certification. It is intended for permanent installation in wet wells and is designed for handling untreated wastewater containing large solids in municipal and industrial infrastructure.
Performance is driven by a 2.2 kW 4-pole motor drawing 5.4 Amps at 415V while operating at 1462 rpm. It achieves a maximum flow up to 2214 L/min and a maximum head up to 11.3 m. The motor is rated for continuous S1 duty in untreated wastewater with a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C. The motor is cooled by the surrounding pumped liquid during normal submerged operation.
The S-tube impeller provides an 80 mm free passage for untreated wastewater containing solids while helping reduce the risk of clogging. It features a DN 100 inlet and a DN 80 (3") outlet with DIN flange standards. This single-vane hydraulic path supports the transfer of solids during prolonged dewatering in treatment plants.
Construction consists of an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing. Shaft protection is provided by a double SIC/SIC mechanical seal system and winding-integrated thermal switches. The unit also includes moisture sensors, a 10-metre 07RN8-F power cable, and an IP68 enclosure rating for submerged operation. The pump is suitable for installation depths up to 7 metres.
