Municipal transfer applications benefit from the Grundfos SL1.80.80.55.4.50B.C, a submersible wastewater pump suitable for permanent installation in wet wells and basins. This unit holds CE EN12050-1 approval and is intended for handling untreated wastewater containing large solids. It is designed for high-flow fluid transfer in municipal networks.
This model features a 5.5 kW 4-pole motor operating at 1463 rpm. Operating on a 3 x 415V supply with a rated current of 10.9 Amps, it achieves a maximum flow up to 3282 L/min and a maximum head up to 19.4 m. The motor is rated for continuous S1 duty in untreated wastewater at temperatures up to 40°C. The motor is cooled by the surrounding pumped liquid during normal submerged operation.
The S-tube impeller provides an 80 mm free passage for untreated wastewater containing solids while helping reduce the risk of clogging. The unit is equipped with a DN 100 inlet and a DN 80 (3") outlet connection. This single-vane hydraulic configuration supports the discharge of raw effluents in municipal collection sumps.
The pump housing and motor casing are constructed from EN-GJL-250 cast iron for durability in submerged service. Protection includes a double mechanical SIC/SIC seal arrangement and integrated PTC sensors for motor monitoring. Integrated moisture sensors are included for seal and motor monitoring, along with a 10-metre LYNIFLEX cable and IP68 rating. The pump is suitable for installation depths up to 7 metres.
