High-volume municipal wastewater transfer networks utilise the Grundfos SL1.80.80.75.4.50B.C, a cast iron submersible pump certified under CE EN12050-1. It is suitable for permanent submerged installation and developed for handling untreated wastewater containing large solids in civil infrastructure.
The pump is powered by a 7.5 kW 4-pole motor operating at 1462 rpm on a 3 x 415V supply with a rated current of 14.4 Amps. It achieves a maximum flow up to 3300 L/min and a maximum head up to 23.6 m. The motor is designed for continuous S1 duty in untreated wastewater containing solids between 0°C and 40°C. The motor is cooled by the surrounding pumped liquid during normal submerged operation.
Fluid handling is managed by an S-tube impeller providing an 80 mm free passage while helping reduce the risk of clogging. Hydraulic connections include a DN 100 inlet and a DN 80 (3") outlet with DIN flanges. This design facilitates the transfer of large suspended solids in demanding civil wastewater networks.
Construction features an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing. Protection includes a double SIC/SIC mechanical shaft seal and integrated PTC thermal sensors for motor protection. The unit features moisture sensors for seal and motor monitoring, 10 metres of LYNIFLEX power cable, and an IP68 enclosure rating. The pump is suitable for installation depths up to 7 metres.
