Multi-storey risers and systems with unusually long branch runs require more head than any other pump in the UPS cast iron range can generate. The Grundfos UPS 25-120 sits at the top of that lineup, purpose-built for closed-loop circuits where vertical lift or extended pipe resistance would otherwise limit circulation to the highest points of the system.

At full speed the pump delivers 34 L/Min against a maximum head of 12 m, the tallest rating among the UPS 25 models, powered by up to 230 W and 0.99 A on a 1 x 240 V supply. Three selectable speeds step power from 125 W upward, allowing the pump to be run below maximum on shorter branches while retaining full head capacity where the riser demands it.

The canned rotor motor lubricates its own bearings using the circulating heating water, a design carried through the entire UPS range that removes the mechanical shaft seal. Liquid temperature tolerance runs from -25°C up to 95°C, slightly lower than the 110°C rating of other UPS 25 variants, reflecting its focus on standard heating rather than higher-temperature boiler applications.

An IPX2D enclosure provides contact protection, and internal thermal protection is built into the motor winding. At 180 mm port-to-port with 1 1/2 inch connections, it retains the same physical footprint as the other 180 mm UPS 25 models, making it a direct upgrade path where an existing installation needs more head without a larger bore.
