Product Overview
When a heating or hot water system is specified with wider bore pipework to handle greater volume, a pump with a matching connection size is required to avoid unnecessary flow restriction. The Grundfos UPS 32-80N is designed for those systems, with a 2 inch connection that reduces flow resistance at equivalent volumes.
At full speed the pump delivers approx. 182 L/Min with a maximum head up to 8 m of maximum head, with three selectable settings stepping power from 140 W up to 230 W and current reaching 1.01 A on a 1 x 240 V supply. The wider 2 inch connection reduces flow restriction compared to the 1 1/2 inch models at equivalent volumes, which matters as zone count and pipe run length increase.
The canned rotor construction shared across the UPS N range removes the mechanical shaft seal, with bearings lubricated by the circulating water. Stainless steel wetted parts and a composite impeller keep the pump suitable for potable hot water while tolerating liquid temperatures from -25°C up to 110°C.
An IPX2D enclosure provides contact protection, and internal thermal protection is built into the motor winding. The 180 mm port-to-port body matches the dimensional footprint of the smaller UPS 25 series, so specification decisions largely come down to bore size and head requirement.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
