Product Overview
Forming the hydraulic wet end of a submersible pump system, the Lowara 12GS55 is a redesigned 4-inch e-GS borehole component. This model is specified for coupling with a 5.5 kW (7.33 HP) electric motor. Well installation allows vertical placement or horizontal mounting inside tanks.
A stainless steel casing houses the multi-stage hydraulics, protecting the internal floating stack. This model is equipped with 35 floating impellers made of wear-resistant polymer. The system handles suspended sand particles up to a maximum of 150 grams per cubic meter.
Upon coupling this pump end to its specified 5.5 kW motor (rated for 13.7 Amps on 415 V three-phase power), the combined unit reaches a maximum head of 145.2 m. It delivers a maximum flow of 250 L/Min through a Rp 2" (50 mm) port. High volumetric delivery is maintained under load.
Continuous service is possible in liquid temperatures reaching up to a maximum of 35°C. The assembly is specified for submergence depths up to 150 meters with a 4OS motor or up to 300 meters with an L4C motor. Horizontal deployment is possible within motor limits. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
Can I run the Lowara 12GS55 off a farm generator or solar inverter?
Yes, as long as your generator matches its 5.5 kW requirement. It's built for continuous duty on 415V three-phase or standard rural power setups.
Is the Lowara 12GS55 safe to use in mineral-heavy or salty groundwater?
The pump uses stainless-steel wetted components; suitability for saline or aggressive water should be confirmed against the manufacturer's liquid-compatibility limits.
What pipe size connects to the Lowara 12GS55 discharge port?
It fits a standard 50 mm outlet connection. Using the right pipe diameter ensures you get the full 250 L/Min discharge flow.
Can I install the Lowara 12GS55 horizontally inside a water tank?
Horizontal installation may be permitted where the manufacturer's installation requirements are met, including the required inclination and adequate motor cooling.
