Product Overview
Automated pressure control without a separate tank is the hallmark of the Lowara 3HM04P-APC22. This configuration pairs the 40.3-metre pump platform with an electronic pressure controller, delivering automatic start-stop operation based on system demand for domestic water supply, irrigation, and light commercial boosting applications.
The pump body is AISI 304 stainless steel with Noryl™ impellers. Maximum head is approximately 40.3 metres, with a maximum flow rate of 70 litres per minute. The motor is rated at 0.5 kW, operating on 220-240 V single-phase, drawing 3.34 Amps. Suction and discharge ports are Rp 25 mm threaded. The pump handles clean liquids up to 60°C.
The APC22 controller provides automatic pump start-stop based on system pressure. The mechanical seal is ceramic, carbon, and EPDM. The motor enclosure is IP55 with Class F insulation. Thermal protection is provided by an automatic reset overload device. The close-coupled design is intended for floor mounting.
Installation is floor-mounted with a pre-wired terminal junction box. The pump is certified for drinking water use under WRAS and ACS. The unit should be installed in a frost-protected, ventilated location with adequate access for maintenance. The electronic pressure controller enables automated pump operation without an APT pressure vessel.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.

Is the Lowara 3HM04P/APC22 motor safe to install outside in the weather?
Yes, it is. The 0.5 kW motor has an IP55 weatherproof casing, so it handles rain, dust, and outdoor conditions with no trouble. It plugs into standard home power and includes built-in thermal overload protection.
Will the Lowara 3HM04P-APC22 burn out if my rainwater tank runs dry?
No, it won't. The fitted APC22 electronic controller monitors water supply constantly. If your tank runs completely dry, the controller instantly shuts off the pump so the motor doesn't run dry or overheat.
Does the Lowara 3HM04P APC22 require a lot of ongoing maintenance?
Not at all. It's designed for hassle-free daily operation with long-life sealed bearings and heavy-duty mechanical shaft seals. Just keep your water inlet strainer clear and it'll run reliably for years.
What materials is the Lowara 3HM04P_APC22 made from and can it handle warm water?
It's built with a 304 stainless steel body and stainless steel impellers, so it won't rust or corrode over time. It easily handles clean water at temperatures up to 60°C.
