Product Overview
For high-lift groundwater supply, commercial waterworks and pressure main systems, the 4ZN612/12 provides a twelve-stage radial flow pump end designed for deep borehole installations. Its stage configuration provides increased hydraulic lift for applications where a lower-stage pump end may not provide sufficient head.
The ZN6 pump end is manufactured in AISI 316 stainless steel, with AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers and removable wear rings. The rotating shaft uses Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803, while the replaceable coupling is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304. When matched with a C4S motor, the installation is limited to 60°C operating water temperature and permits suspended sand up to 100 g/m³.
A maximum flow of 275 L/Min and maximum head of 136 metres are specified for the 4ZN612/12, with hydraulic performance assessed to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B. The standard Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded connection provides the delivery outlet, while the standard 4-inch NEMA motor connection allows coupling with a C4S submersible motor. Maximum immersion depth is 300 metres with C4S motors.
The discharge arrangement uses a microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) discharge head and lower support, incorporating the stainless steel integrated non-return valve. Safety-hook holes are also provided to assist with controlled lowering and securing during borehole installation.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
How much maintenance does the Lowara 4ZN612/12 need?
Virtually none. The sealed bearings and shaft seals are lubricated for life, giving you years of trouble-free daily pumping.
How deep can the Lowara 4ZN612/12 push water from underground?
With a maximum head of 136 m, it easily lifts water from deep bore shafts and pushes it across long pipe runs without losing pressure.
Can the Lowara 4ZN612 12 handle dirty or gritty bore water?
The pump is designed for the documented sand/particle conditions; do not exceed the manufacturer's stated limits. The impellers are built from heavy-duty materials designed to resist abrasion and sediment wear.
Can I run the Lowara 4ZN612-12 off a farm generator or solar inverter?
Yes, as long as your generator matches its Continuous-Duty Electric Motor requirement. It's built for continuous duty on 415V three-phase or standard rural power setups.
