Product Overview
The 4ZN616/3 is a three-stage radial flow pump end for six-inch borehole installations where a compact hydraulic configuration is required for reliable water delivery. With a maximum flow of 367 L/Min and a maximum head of 36 metres, it is suited to high-volume water transfer duties where moderate lift is required.
The ZN6 pump end is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel, with AISI 316L stainless steel used for the impellers and diffusers. Removable wear rings provide a serviceable hydraulic arrangement, while the Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803 shaft and replaceable Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304 coupling form the rotating and motor-connection components. The construction is specified for clean water containing suspended sand up to 100 g/m³.
When assembled with a C4S submersible motor, the pump end can operate with water temperatures up to 60°C. Hydraulic performance is specified to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B. The Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded connection provides the discharge, while the standard 4-inch NEMA motor connection allows coupling to the C4S motor. Maximum immersion is 300 metres when used with a C4S motor.
The discharge arrangement incorporates a microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) discharge head and lower support, together with an integrated stainless steel non-return valve. Safety-hook holes are provided for controlled lowering and securing during borehole installation.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.

Can I run the Lowara 4ZN616-3 off a farm generator or solar inverter?
Yes, as long as your generator matches its Continuous-Duty Electric Motor requirement. It's built for continuous duty on 415V three-phase or standard rural power setups.
Is the Lowara 4ZN616_3 safe to use in mineral-heavy or salty groundwater?
The pump uses stainless-steel wetted components; suitability for saline or aggressive water should be confirmed against the manufacturer's liquid-compatibility limits.
What pipe size connects to the Lowara 4ZN616/3 discharge port?
It fits a standard 65 mm outlet connection. Using the right pipe diameter ensures you get the full 367 L/Min discharge flow.
Can I install the Lowara 4ZN616 3 horizontally inside a water tank?
Horizontal installation may be permitted where the manufacturer's installation requirements are met, including the required inclination and adequate motor cooling.
