Product Overview
Groundwater lowering and mine dewatering operations require pumps that sustain high flow rates under demanding conditions. The Lowara 4ZN646/5-3 handles these duties with its 6-inch wet end and 4-inch motor configuration, delivering 1000 L/Min for large-scale water management projects. The impeller and diffuser arrangement ensures efficient energy transfer across the operating range.
The pump incorporates AISI 316 stainless steel throughout the wet end, protecting every component from corrosion and abrasive wear. The radial flow impeller includes a removable wear ring for simplified maintenance, while the integrated non-return valve prevents water column reversal during shutdown. The suction strainer limits suspended sand to 100 grams per cubic metre, preserving internal component integrity.
Driven by a 7.5 kW three-phase motor at 415V, the pump draws 18.1 Amps and achieves 51.7 metres of shut-off head. Maximum flow is 1000 L/Min through the 80 mm discharge port. Performance complies with EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B tolerances for consistent hydraulic output.
Class F insulation with IP68 rating supports immersion depths to 300 metres. The Duplex stainless steel shaft and AISI 316L tie rods provide mechanical durability. Safety hook holes on the discharge head enable secure handling during installation and retrieval, while NEMA motor coupling simplifies assembly.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
