Product Overview
The Lowara BGM9APC22 is a self-priming pressure-boosting system combining a centrifugal jet pump with an APC22 electronic pressure controller. This packaged unit is intended for residential applications requiring suction lift, higher head and flow capability, and automated pump control for domestic water supply, rainwater harvesting, and garden irrigation.
The AISI 304 stainless steel pump body delivers a maximum head of 39.4 metres and a maximum flow rate of 62.5 litres per minute. The 0.9 kW motor operates on 240 V single-phase, drawing 3.78 Amps. Suction is Rp 32 mm and discharge is Rp 25 mm. The pump handles clean liquids up to 40°C.
The self-priming design allows the pump to draw water from sources below pump level, subject to the limits specified in the technical documentation. The APC22 controller provides automatic pump start-stop based on system pressure. The mechanical seal is ceramic, carbon, and EPDM. The motor enclosure is IP55 with Class F insulation, and thermal overload protection is provided by an automatic reset device.
Electrical connections are made through a pre-wired terminal junction box. The pump is designed for surface-mounted installation and is not intended for submerged operation. The controller enables automated operation without a separate pressure vessel. The system should be installed in a frost-protected, well-ventilated location with adequate maintenance access.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.

What materials is the Lowara BGM9APC22 made from and can it handle warm water?
It's built with a 304 stainless steel body and stainless steel impellers, so it won't rust or corrode over time. It easily handles clean water at temperatures up to 40°C.
Is the Lowara BGM9APC22 motor safe to install outside in the weather?
Yes, it is. The 0.9 kW motor has an IP55 weatherproof casing, so it handles rain, dust, and outdoor conditions with no trouble. It plugs into standard home power and includes built-in thermal overload protection.
Does the Lowara BGM9APC22 require a lot of ongoing maintenance?
Not at all. It's designed for hassle-free daily operation with long-life sealed bearings and heavy-duty mechanical shaft seals. Just keep your water inlet strainer clear and it'll run reliably for years.
Will the Lowara BGM9APC22 burn out if my rainwater tank runs dry?
No, it won't. The fitted APC22 electronic controller monitors water supply constantly. If your tank runs completely dry, the controller instantly shuts off the pump so the motor doesn't run dry or overheat.
