Product Overview
For commercial groundwater supply and public water networks requiring substantial borehole lift, the ZN612/12 provides a twelve-stage radial flow pump end for six-inch submersible installations. Its staged hydraulic configuration provides a maximum flow of 275 L/Min while increasing the available head for pressure supply duties.
The ZN6 pump-end construction uses AISI 316 stainless steel, with AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers incorporating removable wear rings. A Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803 shaft drives the rotating assembly, and the replaceable coupling is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304. With the standard L6W motor, operating water temperature is limited to 35°C and suspended sand up to 100 g/m³ is permitted.
Maximum head is 136 metres, with hydraulic performance specified to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B. The standard Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded delivery connection serves as the outlet, while a standard 6-inch NEMA motor connection permits coupling with an L6W submersible motor. Maximum immersion depth is 350 metres when used with L6W motors.
The microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) discharge head and lower support incorporate an integrated stainless steel non-return valve. Safety-hook holes in the discharge head provide for attachment during installation, allowing the pump end to be lowered and secured within the borehole.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
Can I run the Lowara ZN612-12 off a farm generator or solar inverter?
Yes, as long as your generator matches its Continuous-Duty Electric Motor requirement. It's built for continuous duty on 415V three-phase or standard rural power setups.
Is the Lowara ZN612_12 safe to use in mineral-heavy or salty groundwater?
The pump uses stainless-steel wetted components; suitability for saline or aggressive water should be confirmed against the manufacturer's liquid-compatibility limits.
What pipe size connects to the Lowara ZN612/12 discharge port?
It fits a standard 65 mm outlet connection. Using the right pipe diameter ensures you get the full 275 L/Min discharge flow.
Can I install the Lowara ZN612 12 horizontally inside a water tank?
Horizontal installation may be permitted where the manufacturer's installation requirements are met, including the required inclination and adequate motor cooling.
