Product Overview
The ZN616/16 provides sixteen radial stages for six-inch borehole installations where high-lift wet-end configuration is required. It has a maximum flow of 367 L/Min and reaches a maximum head of 197 metres.
Its AISI 316 stainless steel construction is complemented by AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings. The rotating shaft uses Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803, while the replaceable coupling is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304. The specified wet-end construction permits suspended sand up to 100 g/m³.
When paired with an L6W motor, operating water temperature is limited to 35°C. Hydraulic performance is specified to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B, with discharge through the Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded connection. The standard 6-inch NEMA motor connection is provided, with maximum immersion of 350 metres using an L6W motor.
The discharge assembly combines the microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) head and lower support with an integrated stainless steel non-return valve. Safety-hook holes support controlled lowering and securing.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
How much maintenance does the Lowara ZN616/16 need?
Virtually none. The sealed bearings and shaft seals are lubricated for life, giving you years of trouble-free daily pumping.
How deep can the Lowara ZN616/16 push water from underground?
With a maximum head of 197 m, it easily lifts water from deep bore shafts and pushes it across long pipe runs without losing pressure.
Can the Lowara ZN616 16 handle dirty or gritty bore water?
The pump is designed for the documented sand/particle conditions; do not exceed the manufacturer's stated limits. The impellers are built from heavy-duty materials designed to resist abrasion and sediment wear.
Can I run the Lowara ZN616-16 off a farm generator or solar inverter?
Yes, as long as your generator matches its Continuous-Duty Electric Motor requirement. It's built for continuous duty on 415V three-phase or standard rural power setups.
