Product Overview
Groundwater supply for municipal and agricultural networks requires pumps that deliver extreme head capability with reliable performance. The Lowara ZN616/28-3 submersible pump delivers 343.7 metres of shut-off head, featuring a 6-inch AISI 316 stainless steel wet end with 6-inch motor connection. Its microcast stainless steel construction provides mechanical integrity for continuous borehole operation.
The engineering details translate into operational benefits. AISI 316 stainless steel resists corrosion from aggressive water chemistry, extending service intervals and reducing maintenance costs. The stainless steel impeller incorporates a removable wear ring, while the suction strainer limits sand ingress to 100 grams per cubic metre. The replaceable coupling allows for maintenance without pump removal.
Powered by a 22 kW three-phase motor at 415V, the pump draws 47.3 Amps and achieves 367 L/Min maximum flow. Shut-off head reaches 343.7 metres, with the 65 mm discharge outlet accommodating standard pipework. Performance complies with EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B tolerances.
Class F insulation with IP68 rating supports immersion up to 350 metres. The Duplex stainless steel shaft, AISI 316L tie rods, and NEMA-compatible coupling ensure long-term reliability. The unit meets ErP ecodesign standards.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
