Product Overview
Agricultural irrigation systems requiring more lift than the lower-stage configurations can use the ZN616/8, an eight-stage radial flow pump end with a maximum head of 98 metres. The six-inch wet end maintains a maximum flow of 367 L/Min for high-capacity borehole water delivery.
The ZN6 construction uses AISI 316 stainless steel, with AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers fitted with removable wear rings. A Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803 shaft is used for the rotating assembly, while the replaceable coupling is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304. The specified construction permits suspended sand up to 100 g/m³.
The standard L6W motor configuration supports water temperatures up to 35°C. Hydraulic performance is specified to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B, with discharge through the Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded connection. A standard 6-inch NEMA motor connection is provided, with maximum immersion of 350 metres with L6W motors.
The microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) discharge head and lower support include an integrated stainless steel non-return valve. Safety-hook holes are provided for controlled lowering and securing during installation.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
How deep can the Lowara ZN616/8 push water from underground?
With a maximum head of 98 m, it easily lifts water from deep bore shafts and pushes it across long pipe runs without losing pressure.
Can the Lowara ZN616 8 handle dirty or gritty bore water?
The pump is designed for the documented sand/particle conditions; do not exceed the manufacturer's stated limits. The impellers are built from heavy-duty materials designed to resist abrasion and sediment wear.
Can I run the Lowara ZN616-8 off a farm generator or solar inverter?
Yes, as long as your generator matches its Continuous-Duty Electric Motor requirement. It's built for continuous duty on 415V three-phase or standard rural power setups.
Is the Lowara ZN616_8 safe to use in mineral-heavy or salty groundwater?
The pump uses stainless-steel wetted components; suitability for saline or aggressive water should be confirmed against the manufacturer's liquid-compatibility limits.
