Product Overview
Mine dewatering and high-head groundwater extraction require pumps that sustain high heads under continuous operation. The Lowara ZN646/12-3N delivers 122.8 metres of shut-off head from its 6-inch wet end, with a 15 kW motor and NEMA coupling configuration that provides ample power for demanding dewatering applications. The multi-stage hydraulic assembly ensures efficient energy transfer across the operating range.
Corrosion resistance is achieved through AISI 316 stainless steel construction across all wetted surfaces, protecting against aggressive groundwater and abrasive wear. The impeller and diffuser arrangement incorporates a removable wear ring for simplified maintenance, while the integrated non-return valve prevents backflow during shutdown. The suction strainer limits suspended sand ingress to 100 grams per cubic metre, preserving internal clearances.
Driven by a 15 kW three-phase motor at 415V, the pump draws 32.1 Amps and achieves 122.8 metres of shut-off head. Flow capacity reaches 1000 L/Min through the 80 mm discharge port. Hydraulic performance complies with EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B tolerances for consistent output.
Class F insulation with IP68 rating supports immersion depths to 350 metres. The Duplex stainless steel shaft provides mechanical strength, while AISI 316L tie rods offer structural integrity. Safety hook holes facilitate installation, and NEMA motor compatibility simplifies assembly.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
