Product Overview
Mining applications and water table level control are handled by the Lowara ZN8125-03/3A-3R. The pump also serves water supply from deep wells, pressure boosting in civil and industrial systems, irrigation, supply of surge tanks and reservoirs, and firefighting and washing systems. The pump is suitable for borehole installation, with horizontal arrangements possible at a 3-degree minimum inclination.
Rated at 18.5 kW with a current draw of 42 Amps at 415V three-phase, the pump develops 65.6 m of head at 30 m³/h with a maximum flow of 2600 L/Min. The 125 mm discharge outlet includes an integrated non-return valve. Performance is presented according to ISO 9906:2012 Grade 3B tolerances.
The AISI 316 stainless steel pump casing houses the hydraulic section with a semi-axial flow impeller configuration. The assembly weighs 119.4 kg and operates at liquid temperatures up to 25°C. Sand handling capacity is rated at 100 g/m³.
Thermal protection for the motor is provided by Class F insulation, with an IP68-rated enclosure enabling submerged operation. NEMA-compliant flange mounting and coupling dimensions meet standard motor connection requirements.

Will this borehole pump withstand mineral-laden water and suspended grit underground?
The AISI 316 stainless steel design of the ZN8125-03/3A-3R provides exceptional resistance to oxidation, safely passing suspended borehole sand up to 100 g/m³.
What electrical power input and supply voltage does this borehole pump demand?
Driving the hydraulic assembly of the ZN8125-03-3A-3R requires a 18.5 kW motor operating on 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase at 42 A.
Does this submersible unit include an internal non-return valve for horizontal operation?
An integrated spring-loaded check valve in the ZN8125 03 3A 3R discharge head stops reverse water flow, while horizontal installation is permitted at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor at the lowest position.
What vertical head limit does this borehole extraction pump support in deep water wells?
Pumping from subterranean water tables, the ZN8125_03_3A_3R generates a peak dynamic head of approximately 65.6 m to maintain steady discharge flow.
What thread diameter attaches to the top outlet and what is the maximum delivery output?
Connecting the delivery riser to the 125 mm (Rp 5") top outlet allows the ZN8125-03/3A-3R to pump a peak flow volume of approximately 2600 L/Min within standard 8-inch well casings.
