Professional wastewater management in potentially explosive environments often mandates the use of IECEx-certified equipment. This three-phase grinder unit is developed for soiled civil wastewater containing filaments and organic solids that require maceration. Its construction allows for permanent installation in IECEx Zone 2 hazardous areas requiring certified equipment to manage sewage and effluent.

High-torque operation is supported by a 0.74 kW motor configured for 415v power systems, which delivers a maximum head of up to 17 m and a flow rate of up to 240 L/Min. This hydraulic performance ensures stable civil wastewater transfer across collection basins. This model is designed for direct starting and includes thermal protection and relays for reliable operation.

Clog-free operation is achieved through a high-performance grinder system featuring an X102 CrMo17 KU chromium steel cutter and matching cutting disk. The grinder is designed to cut fibrous materials and organic solids before they enter the hydraulic passage, helping reduce the risk of blockages. The grinder system works in tandem with the open channel impeller to maintain efficient wastewater transfer.

Structural integrity is maintained by a rugged EN-GJL 250 cast iron casing and a corrosion-resistant AISI 420 stainless steel shaft. The mechanical assembly uses NBR gaskets and a sealing system to prevent liquid ingress during continuous submerged duty in septic sumps. All external and internal cast iron components are protected by an 80 µm bi-epoxy protective coating to resist corrosion and chemical attack from civil wastewater agents.

    FEATURES

    • Certified IECEx Zone 2 construction (Ex nA nC IIC T3 Gc) ensures safety and compliance in hazardous atmospheres.
    • Advanced maceration system with chromium steel cutters cuts organic matter and fibres before they enter the hydraulics.
    • Three-phase 415v motor configuration delivers operational efficiency and torque for demanding commercial grinding tasks.
    • Rugged EN-GJL 250 cast iron casing and open channel impeller provide structural rigidity for submerged service.
    • Motor protection includes thermal protection and relays to safeguard the unit from electrical damage during duty cycles.
    • Stainless steel AISI 420 shaft provides a high-strength backbone for the rotating assembly while resisting corrosion.
    • Protective bi-epoxy 80 µm surface coating offers a durable barrier against the corrosive nature of soiled civil wastewater.
    • Threaded G 1"1/2 discharge connection facilitates standardized installation in civil sewage pits and treatment systems.
