Permanent installations in residential or professional septic sumps require robust solutions for managing civil wastewater containing fibrous matter. This professional-grade submersible grinder pump is developed for installation in IECEx Zone 2 hazardous areas requiring certified equipment. It is specifically built to process and transfer liquids that include filaments or organic solids without clogging.

Providing high-pressure discharge, this model delivers a maximum head of up to 21.1 m and a flow rate of up to 300 L/Min. Driven by a robust 1.1 kW electric motor on a 240v single-phase supply, the unit provides reliable transfer for lift stations requiring significant vertical elevation. The motor includes thermal protection, a starter box, starting capacitor and running capacitor to support reliable operation.

Liquid handling is facilitated by an open channel impeller integrated with a high-strength grinder system designed to cut fibrous materials and organic solids before they enter the hydraulic passage. The rotating cutter, manufactured from chromium steel, works against a specialized cutting disk to reduce the risk of blockages in soiled civil wastewater. The grinder system works in tandem with the open channel impeller to maintain efficient wastewater transfer.

Mechanical durability is provided by a rugged cast iron EN-GJL 250 body and a high-strength EN-GJS 600 cast iron foot base for structural stability. Motor protection is provided by a dual-seal system using two silicon carbide (2SiC) mechanical seals, while the AISI 431 stainless steel shaft provides high mechanical strength. All cast iron parts are treated with a 120 µm bi-epoxy coating for superior protection against corrosion and chemical attack.
