Disposing of soiled civil wastewater containing filaments or fibrous matter necessitates the use of heavy-duty macerating equipment. This submersible unit is developed for permanent submerged operation in hazardous environments, offering suitability for installation in IECEx Zone 2 hazardous areas requiring certified equipment. Its heavy-duty construction ensures the reliable management of sewage in large collection basins.

Hydraulic output is exceptional, as this pump delivers a maximum head of up to 21.1 m and a flow rate of up to 300 L/Min. Driven by a high-torque 1.1 kW motor configured for 415v three-phase power, this unit maintains high stability across a wide range of discharge conditions. The model is designed for motor safety and includes thermal protection and relays for reliable operation during continuous duty.

A sophisticated grinder system utilizing X102 CrMo17 KU chromium steel cutters is designed to cut fibrous materials and organic solids before they enter the hydraulic passage. The rotating mechanism helps reduce the risk of blockages while ensuring processed solids are transferred efficiently. The grinder system works in tandem with the open channel impeller to maintain efficient wastewater transfer, even when dealing with civil wastewater containing fibres or filaments.

The mechanical assembly consists of a durable cast iron EN-GJL 250 casing and a heavy-duty EN-GJS 600 foot base for high structural stability. Motor protection is provided by a dual system of two silicon carbide (2SiC) mechanical seals and an AISI 431 stainless steel shaft for high mechanical strength. A thick 120 µm bi-epoxy coating is applied to all internal and external cast iron surfaces to provide an effective shield against corrosion and chemical attack.

    FEATURES

    • IECEx Zone 2 certification (Ex nA nC IIC T3 Gc) permits safe operation in hazardous atmospheres requiring certified equipment.
    • Professional grinder mechanism featuring chromium steel cutters macerates filaments and organic matter to maintain hydraulic flow.
    • Dual-seal isolation system with two silicon carbide (2SiC) mechanical seals ensures protection for the internal motor housing.
    • Heavy-duty EN-GJL 250 cast iron body and EN-GJS 600 base provide mechanical strength for civil wastewater service.
    • AISI 431 stainless steel shaft provides high torsional resistance and ensures the integrity of the rotating assembly.
    • Motor safety features include thermal protection and relays configured for 415v three-phase operational efficiency.
    • High-performance 120 µm bi-epoxy coating protects internal and external components from the corrosive effects of civil sewage.
    • Threaded G 1"1/2 discharge connection ensures compatibility with standard commercial coupling systems and piping.
