Demanding disposal tasks for fibrous civil wastewater often require high-torque solutions capable of reducing fibrous solids before pumping. This professional submersible grinder pump serves sewage systems where filaments and organic solids are present in the effluent. The unit is developed for installation in IECEx Zone 2 hazardous areas requiring certified equipment, ensuring compliant and safe operation in hazardous atmospheres.

High-pressure output is a primary characteristic of this model, which delivers a maximum head of up to 27 m and a flow rate of up to 300 L/Min. Powered by a high-efficiency 1.5 kW motor on a 240v single-phase supply, it provides sufficient discharge pressure for intensive wastewater elevations. The motor configuration includes thermal protection, a starter box, starting capacitor and running capacitor to ensure reliable operation.

The hydraulic system features an open channel impeller paired with a chromium steel grinder cutter designed to cut fibrous materials and organic solids before they enter the hydraulic passage. By reducing the risk of blockages in the pump housing, the system maintains efficient liquid handling performance even with heavily soiled civil wastewater containing solids. The grinder system works in tandem with the open channel impeller to maintain efficient wastewater transfer during duty cycles.

Construction features a rugged cast iron EN-GJL 250 body and a heavy-duty EN-GJS 600 cast iron foot base for superior mechanical rigidity. Motor protection is provided by two silicon carbide (2SiC) mechanical seals and an AISI 431 stainless steel shaft for high mechanical strength. All internal and external cast iron components receive a thick 120 µm bi-epoxy protective coating to withstand corrosion and chemical attack.

    FEATURES

    • IECEx Zone 2 certified (Ex nA nC IIC T3 Gc) for safe and compliant operation in hazardous environments requiring certified equipment.
    • Heavy-duty X102 CrMo17 KU chromium steel grinder system macerates fibrous materials and solids to prevent system clogs.
    • Dual silicon carbide (2SiC) mechanical seal arrangement provides motor isolation and protection against fluid ingress.
    • EN-GJL 250 cast iron body paired with an EN-GJS 600 base offers structural integrity for high-elevation wastewater duty.
    • AISI 431 stainless steel shaft ensures high torsional resistance and precision alignment of rotating hydraulic components.
    • Integrated motor protection includes thermal protection, starter box, starting capacitor and running capacitor.
    • Thick 120 µm bi-epoxy surface treatment shields all cast iron parts from corrosive civil wastewater and chemical attack.
    • Threaded G 1"1/2 discharge connection allows for secure integration with standardized civil sewage piping.
