Calpeda GQGM 6-25 Cast Iron High Head Submersible Grinder Pump for Industrial Wastewater with Float Switch

Designed for demanding residential and civil wastewater applications throughout Australia, this single-phase submersible grinder pump efficiently transfers wastewater containing paper, textile and long filamentary materials. An integrated float switch provides automatic pump operation, making it suitable for collection pits where wastewater requires maceration before discharge. The pump handles liquid temperatures up to 35°C during continuous submerged duty.

Powered by a 1.5 kW single-phase motor, the pump delivers a maximum flow rate of 280 L/min and reaches a maximum head of 23 m. Operating on a 240v supply, it draws a rated current of 9.5 Amps and is supplied with an M COMP+ control box incorporating starting capacitors and thermal protection. The submerged motor provides reliable performance for fixed wastewater installations.

The hydraulic system utilizes a patented grinding mechanism with hardened AISI 440C rotating and fixed cutting blades to reduce paper, textile and long filamentary materials to a 6 mm solid passage. The cast iron open impeller then transfers the macerated wastewater efficiently while minimizing the risk of discharge pipe blockages. The horizontal delivery outlet supports both DN 32 PN 6 flanged and G 1 1/2 threaded discharge connections.

A rugged GJL 200 cast iron pump casing and impeller provide outstanding mechanical durability in permanent submerged installations. A double mechanical shaft seal with an interposed oil chamber protects the motor from water ingress, while the AISI 304 stainless steel motor jacket, AISI 303 shaft and triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding deliver long-term operational reliability.
