The integrated float switch on the Calpeda MXSM 308CG facilitates automated clean water transfer for domestic and civil water supply from wells. Suitable for garden irrigation and rainwater harvesting, this pump handles clean liquid at temperatures reaching up to 35°C. It is rated for continuous duty and standing installation positions.
Mechanical sealing is achieved through a double mechanical shaft seal with an oil chamber containing oil for food machinery and pharmaceutic use. The construction features a chrome-nickel stainless steel AISI 304 external jacket. It includes a capacitor incorporated in the float switch, a built-in thermal protector, and a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding.
Powered by a 1.5 kW single-phase 240v motor, this unit achieves a maximum head of 82 m and a maximum flow rate of 75 L/min. Drawing a rated current of 12 Amps, internal cooling is achieved by fluid circulating between the motor jacket and outer shell. This design allows for safe service during partial submersion.
Water passes through multiple stainless steel impellers arranged in stages within the stage casings to move fluid through the pump. To protect the internal components, a base-integrated suction strainer restricts the entrance of solid particles to those no bigger than 2 mm in diameter. The 5-inch close-coupled structure fits wells with a 140 mm minimum diameter.
