At the finest standard 10-inch filtration level in this range, the 1PP10 Microlene Poly Pleated Sediment Removal Cartridge provides 1-micron sediment filtration using pleated polyester media. Its listed applications include drinking water, beverage industry, mineral water bottling, laboratory use, food industry and prefiltration ahead of sub-micron filters or Reverse Osmosis.

The cartridge is rated at 41 lpm and uses a pleated structure to increase the available filtration surface area. This arrangement supports dirt-holding capacity, longer run length and low pressure drop, with the cartridges particularly useful in low-pressure applications such as domestic supplies using header tanks or roof water.

Cleaning is possible under a tap or with gentle hosing, although the supplied information notes that 1-micron cartridges may only be cleanable once or twice.
