For high-flow sediment filtration, the 50PP10J Microlene Poly Pleated Sediment Removal Cartridge combines 50-micron polyester pleated media with a 10-inch Jumbo format. It is listed for drinking water, beverage industry, mineral water bottling, laboratory and food industry applications, as well as prefiltration ahead of sub-micron filters or Reverse Osmosis.
Its 4.5-inch diameter Jumbo configuration provides increased filtration surface area for sediment capture, supporting high dirt-holding ability and longer run length. The specified flow rate is 100 lpm, making this cartridge particularly useful where higher water flow is required, including low-pressure applications.
Cleaning can be carried out under a tap or by gentle hosing when the cartridge becomes dirty. For heavier deposits, diluted acid or other appropriate cleaners may be used before rinsing. The cartridge should be sterilised with bleach before reuse and replaced when cleaning is no longer effective or head loss reaches 15 psi.
Thermally bonded construction forms integral joints between the pliable endcaps and rigid centre core, providing added strength and long service life. The cartridge has a maximum operating temperature of 52°C and is finished with white construction and blue endcaps.
