Davey 5PP10 Poly Pleated Sediment Removal 5 Micron 10" Replacement Cartridge

Fine sediment filtration is provided by the 5PP10 Microlene Poly Pleated Sediment Removal Cartridge, using 5-micron polyester pleated media in a standard 10-inch format. The cartridge is applicable to drinking water, beverage industry, mineral water bottling, laboratory and food industry use, as well as prefiltration ahead of sub-micron filters or Reverse Osmosis.

A 43 lpm flow rate is specified for this model, with the pleated construction providing a large surface area for sediment capture. This design supports high dirt-holding ability, longer run length and low pressure drop, making the cartridge particularly useful for low-pressure applications such as domestic supplies using header tanks or roof water.

The cartridge can be cleaned under a tap or with gentle hosing once it becomes dirty. The supplied information notes that 5-micron cartridges may generally be cleaned once or twice, after which replacement is required when cleaning is no longer effective or head loss reaches 15 psi. Bleach sterilisation is specified before reuse.

Thermally bonded joints connect the pliable endcaps to the rigid centre core, providing an integral construction for added strength and service life. The cartridge is suitable for liquids up to 52°C and has white construction with blue endcaps.
