Davey 5PP20 Poly Pleated Sediment Removal 5 Micron 20" Replacement Cartridge

For finer filtration at higher flow capacity, the 5PP20 Microlene Poly Pleated Sediment Removal Cartridge uses 5-micron polyester pleated media in a standard 20-inch format. It is suited to the listed drinking water, beverage industry, mineral water bottling, laboratory and food industry applications, as well as prefiltration ahead of sub-micron filters or Reverse Osmosis.

The 20-inch construction provides increased filtration surface area, while the pleated arrangement supports high dirt-holding ability and longer run length. A flow rate of 85 lpm is specified, with low pressure drop making the cartridge particularly useful in low-pressure water supplies such as domestic header tank or roof water systems.

Cleaning can be performed under a tap or with gentle hosing. The source notes that 5-micron cartridges may only be cleanable once or twice, with replacement required when cleaning is no longer effective or head loss reaches 15 psi. Bleach sterilisation should be carried out before reuse.

Thermally bonded construction forms integral joints between the pliable endcaps and rigid centre core for added strength and long service life. The maximum liquid temperature is 52°C, and the cartridge is supplied with white construction and blue endcaps.
